2022 Christian Fiction Releases & a Giveaway

By Deena Adams

Happy New Year! On this first week in January, I’m providing a list of some 2022 new releases as a resource for readers. This list was compiled from the responses of people in several reader and writer Facebook groups when asked which books they’re most looking forward to or who’s releasing a book.

I’ve also added a few books by authors I have scheduled to interview on my blog this year. You can find more releases by publication date at Fiction Finder.

If a preorder link is available, I’ve included it. You can click the title to learn more.

For this week’s giveaway, one person who comments on this post will win your choice of one of the January releases, which are pictured in the header photo.

Thanks so much for all the work you did compiling this list! So many great new releases coming! The January ones I am looking forward to are A Stranger’s Game, Life Flight, Stone, Her Small Town Refuge. Also thanks for the oppotunity to win! A Stranger’s Game would be awesome to win!

  • Angela Johnson

There are so many good books on the list that I can only narrow it down to any Historical, Suspense, or Split Time 😆. Thanks for having this giveaway, I saw your post on the Avid Readers group on Facebook….the covers in your picture for this look really pretty together!

    • Deena Adams

Hi, Angela. I completely understand! Way too hard to narrow down such a great list. I love the pretty covers together too. Good luck in the drawing!

  • Charity

I love Abigail Wilson, and am looking forward to reading her newest book!

Saw your post in Avid Readers of Christian Fiction. 🙂

  • Cherie J

Unbethrothed by Candice Pedraza Yamintz has me rather excited. I love a good fairy tale style fantasy and this one soounds so good. So many great books on this list so that it is hard to choose just one.

  • Abigail

I am so excited for a new year of new books by wonderful authors! I have read Jody Hedlund’s Never Leave Me. It was so good, and I’m ready for my next new release lol. I’m here from Avids.

  • Amber-Lee Case

Hello from Avid Readers! I saw your post there and I am so excited about many of these releases! My TBR is out of control but I can never resist adding new ones!! Happy Reading!

  • Patty

I am reading A Heart Adrift by Laura Frantz right now. I always look forward to her new release early each year.
The other I am looking forward to is Jocelyn Greens upcoming release Drawn by the Current.
Hello to all of the other Avid Readers!

  • Amy

Hello from Avid Readers! I am excited to read so many of these, although I am trying to finish the pile I already have first…

  • Tammy Eanes

So many good books to look forward to, but I am especially excited about the new Denise Hunter books!

  • Perrianne Askew

My pick for this month is Twilight at Moorington Cross by Abigail Wilson but I was fortunate to be an early reader for this and let me tell you it’s FANTASTIC! I would also choose To Disguise the Truth by Jen Turano, The Winter Rose by Melanie Dobson and A Heart Adrift by laura Frantz. I’m not as up to date on the further out releases, but Jaime Jo Wright’s The Souls of Lost Lake and Robin W. Pearson’s Walking in Tall Weeds is at the very top of my wish list.

  • Laurel Stein

Oh, what a fantastic resource you’ve assembled for us!! Avid Reader here through Facebook, and I’m going to be reading many of these!

      • Caryn

Well, this list is amazing! I have a top 3, that’s the smallest amount I can narrow it down to:
        1. The Lady’s Mine by Francine Rivers
        2. The Souls of Lost Lake by Jaime Jo Wright
        3. The Heart of the Mountains by Pepper Basham

Thanks so much for offering this giveaway and for all the work you did compiling this list for us. I followed the link from the Avid Readers of Christian Fiction FB group. 😀

        • Deena Adams

Hi, Caryn. Looks like a great top three list! Hope you’ll get to read some of the others as well. Thanks so much for stopping by and joining the conversation!

  • Teri DiVincenzo

Boy, reading-wise, 2022 is slaying it right out of the gate! There are so many on this list that are already on my TBR! I’m really looking forward to Never Leave Me by Jody Hedlund.

    • Deena Adams

Hi, Teri. It’s definitely going to be a great reading year! I’ve yet to read a Jody Hedlund book but have heard so many praises for her writing. Maybe this is the year to check her out! Thanks for joining the conversation!

    • Deena Adams

Hi, Teresa. Lots of the authors on this list are new to me so I don’t personally know if their writing will resonate with me but based on books I’ve read, two that I know for sure I want to read are All That it Takes by Nicole Deese and The Songs That Could Have Been by Amanda Wen.

Other people have raved about some of the authors on this list so I’m looking forward to finding some new favorite authors this year too.

I review all the books I read on Goodreads so you can check my profile there and see what I read and what I thought about it.

      Thanks for reading and commenting!

  • Angie Pool

I am most looking forward to A Heart Adrift or To Disguise the Truth. Thnx for the giveaway!!

  • Roxanne C.

My Kindle library already has so many books, and I have run out of physical space on my bookshelves for new books. So at the moment the only books I have on my “to buy list” are Song for the Hunter (Naomi Musch) and To Disguise a Truth (Jen Turano). However, I continue to add to my TBR list–of course.

    • Deena Adams

Hi, Roxanne. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had all the time and money needed for every book we wanted to read?! I think we’ll be adding to our want to read list for the rest of our lives! Thanks so much for stopping by.

  • Traci Winget

Wow! What a list! I’ve promised myself not to purchase any more books until I read what I have on my Kindle, but never said I couldn’t add to my “WTR” list, or not accept a gift!! It just expanded exponentially! Thank you 📚😍

    • Deena Adams

I understand, Traci, but if I never bought another book until I read everything on my kindle, I’d NEVER buy another book. LOL. I have so many on my kindle it would be impossible to read them all. You can take advantage of Hoopla and Libby and read without buying!

    • Sylvia Rodriguez

Really can’t wait for some of these & others I will be looking to try some new authors!
