I exceeded my 2024 seventy-five books reading goal and read over 80 books, most of which were audiobooks. Now, you have a chance to win your choice of one of the books I read last year! Sweet deal, right?

One of the beauties of checking out the books I read on Goodreads is that you can see my review of each book to help you decide if it’s for you or not.

Beautiful, encouraging verses, Deena! That was a great blessing to hear you read them.
My husband and I had a wonderful Christmas with our two daughters and nephew and his son.
I look forward to 2025 and am praying about finding a literary agent for a couple of my manuscripts and/or self-publishing this year.
I will be praying for you as the Lord guides you on your writing journey and hopefully with a book contract this year! Keep writing!:)

      Thank you so much, Faith!

I’m so glad you had a great Christmas with family.

May the Lord guide us both to His perfect will for our writing journey this year.

      Thank you for your prayers.

    Hi Deena

Happy New Year! I spent the holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve with my kids and grandkids! Now when I click the image, it brings me to the books I read, not the ones you read! Took me a minute, I thought wow, Deena and I have the same taste–I read all the same books then I realized this is my list.

So I don’t know what book to chose …

Any way thank you for this opportunity

I like to support Indie authors as best I can. While I don’t officially set goals, I like to read more books than I did the year before. This past year I read 54 books and wrote seven so… we shall see how 2025 pans out. I have one daughter getting married and a grandchild on the way so I might not exceed the 54 mark.

    • Deena Adams

Wow, you wrote 7 books in a year??! That’s impressive. I’m happy if I can write one in a year. LOL

Congratulations on your daughter’s upcoming marriage and your grandchild on the way! Exciting stuff!

I haven’t written any goals down yet, but I know I want to grow closer to the Lord and closer to my husband. I have some specials prayers for a couple of my adult children, too.

    • Deena Adams

I can’t imagine God not honoring the goals you mentioned, Danielle. I have no doubt He wants those things for you even more than you do!

I imagine we all have prayers we’re praying for our adult children, clinging to hope that God will do amazing things in their lives!

Deena….Thank you for your encouraging New Year’s greeting. I am “clinging” like a crazy girl to the “hope” that only Jesus can give for 2025.
Blessings on all your endeavors this year as you keep on writing! ✍️

Thanks for the encouraging message to start the year!
I spent Christmas with my family and then went to his family, very busy! As far as New Year’s eve, I was in bed before the ball dropped=)

  • Lori R

I enjoyed your message. I spent Christmas and New Year’s with my family and started both days by reading my Bible.

  • Traci Winget

What a wonderful New Year’s message, Deena! Thank you. My word for 2024 was ‘rejoice’/joy. God knew I’d need it, when He received dad in April. Your reading of Philipians was gladly heard.
Our whole family in Fredericksburg for Christmas at our daughter’s home was delightful. Quiet NYE.
As we celebrate our 24th anniversary today, and contemplate 2025, I’m praying to be bold in sharing Jesus. Having a ‘t-party’ with my son’s girlfriend, Meghan, and anyone else who does not have Jesus as their Lord & Savior.
May 2025 grow His kingdom in ways we cannot imagine!!!

    • Deena Adams

I’m so glad you had a great Christmas with your family, Traci. And Happy Anniversary!!

God always gives us just what we need, doesn’t He? I love that your 2024 word was joy/rejoice and that it ministered to you in your time of great loss.

May God use you this year to win many to Jesus!

      Happy New Year!
