A forbidden romance, a fractured family, and one woman’s journey to piece it all together

Amanda Cox is the Christy Award-winning author of The Edge of Belonging,The Secret Keepers of Old Depot Grocery, He Should Have Told the Bees, and Between the Sound and Sea. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible and theology and a master’s degree in professional counseling, but her first love is communicating through story. Her studies and her interactions with hurting families over a decade have allowed her to create multidimensional characters that connect emotionally with readers. She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband and their three children.

    I haven’t read any of Amanda’s books. She is completely new to me. I l found the concept of the past influencing the present intriguing.

    What fun! I love Southern fiction. I write Northern fiction, but it isn’t quite the same. ANd my husband and I are just getting into birding.

    I have read He Should Have Told the Bees and I loved it! I have The Edge of Belonging also. I definitely need to read all her books because I can tell she’s a favorite author of mine! I have heard nothing but good things about The Bitter End and it sounds like it is full of amazing truths and lessons to apply to life so I really like that.

    I’ve read all of Amanda’s books, The Edge of Belonging is my favorite. I can’t wait to read this one. The town sounds so interesting.

      What a wonderful interview! I read it on NetGalley, I have two copies sitting here ready to share, and I am listening to it right now on Audible. I have read all of your books, and it seems each one gets better than the last.
      My favorite thing to do when I go outside now is to turn on the Merlin Bird app and hear which birds are hanging out near me. I don’t often get to see them, but it’s great to know what God has placed in my hearing purview.

      Aside from the talk of the book, which I absolutely adore, your one comments about investing in yourself really grabbed me.
      That and the ability to forgive ourselves, to have grace with ourselves.
